Skiers Trapped on Lift in Maine
220 skiers are trapped on a at the Sugarloaf Ski Resort, 100 miles north of Portland are trapped on a ski lift in Maine after the cable skipped the track during high winds. Officials said the lift was swinging in the winds when one of the cables moved causing it to come off the trap. As many as three ski lifts fell at least 20 feet, and some even hit the ground. The accident has caused the lift to be stopped trapping many skiers on the lift as officials try to fix and investigate the accident. Police and fire officials have brought in ladders and are rescuing them one by by one and the injured have been rushed to hospital.
